Our engagement with 25 East Washington began with a clear objective: create a digital presence that reflects the building’s historic character while showcasing its modern amenities and leasing opportunities. Early planning sessions focused on understanding the needs of the building’s core audiences—from tenants and brokers to prospective clients—and mapping the user journeys required to support those goals. We evaluated the existing digital footprint, identified gaps in storytelling and functionality, and recommended a custom WordPress theme to give the site the flexibility and longevity it needed.
As part of the planning phase, we also provided strategic consultation around technical requirements, dynamic content structures, third-party integrations, and future marketing needs. Because the ownership team works with multiple outside vendors, we coordinated with those groups early on to align on data flows, access points, and overall scope. This ensured that every piece of the project—from visual storytelling to backend infrastructure—was positioned to support both short-term launch goals and long-term growth.



Design.
The design phase aimed to capture the spirit of the building: classic Chicago architecture blended with a refreshed, contemporary visual identity. We crafted an aesthetic that highlights the elegance of the structure—its marble floors, intricate detailing, and prime Loop location—while maintaining a modern interface that feels clean, professional, and approachable.
Dynamic visual storytelling played a central role. We introduced full-width hero sections, cinematic transitions, and subtle animation treatments that give the site depth and movement without overwhelming the user. Every page was designed with hierarchy and clarity in mind, ensuring that important leasing information, amenity details, and location benefits remain easily accessible.
Throughout the design process, we collaborated closely with the client through multiple rounds of review and refinement. From image selection and copy placement to interactive behaviors, we honed every detail to present the building in its best light while ensuring the experience remained intuitive and efficient across all device types.


Build.
Once the design direction was approved, we brought the vision to life through a custom WordPress theme built entirely to meet the project’s functional and editorial needs. We developed a series of custom post types and advanced custom fields that allow the client to manage suites, amenities, landing pages, and all site content without relying on developer support. The goal was to give the internal team complete control over the information presented on the site while maintaining design consistency behind the scenes.
To elevate the experience, we implemented dynamic carousels, interactive animations, responsive image handling, and performance-optimized motion effects using WordPress’s latest best practices. The build emphasized scalability and speed, ensuring that content loads quickly and interacts seamlessly regardless of device. We also worked directly with the client’s third-party vendors to streamline technical communication, integrate external tools, and ensure compatibility across all systems connected to the website.
Throughout the build phase, we conducted extensive quality-assurance testing. We reviewed the site across countless devices, browsers, and scenarios, fine-tuning spacing, animations, performance, and functionality until every element felt polished and precise. By the time we reached launch, the site had already undergone multiple rounds of iteration, giving the client confidence in performance from day one.


Grow.
After launch, our focus shifted to ensuring long-term stability and empowering the client to manage the site with ease. We completed comprehensive post-launch QA to validate that all dynamic features, integrations, and content-management tools performed exactly as intended in the live environment. We also provided hands-on training and documentation so the building’s team could confidently create new pages and update existing content using the flexible component library we developed.
In the months following launch, we monitored analytics, reviewed user behavior, and advised on opportunities to strengthen conversion paths and enhance the digital experience. Because the site was built on a solid, extensible foundation, the client can now roll out new landing pages, marketing initiatives, leasing campaigns, and content updates without additional development. The platform is designed to grow with the property—supporting evolving business needs while maintaining the visual quality and performance expected from a landmark asset.
